Kay Slice hosts: Curtis Millen Album Try-Out: A night of intimate Funk and Soul
Get ready to be swept off your feet by Curtis Millen, the Irish Soul and Funk powerhouse from West Belfast who’s taking the stage by storm! Curtis has inherited his kinfolk’s natural flair for showmanship, transforming it into electrifying performances that leave audiences buzzing. Raised in the rich musical landscape of his grandmothers’ homes, Curtis was steeped in the timeless sounds of Motown, Soul, Rock’n’Roll, and Jazz. From dancing to Little Richard by day to secretly spinning his father’s CDs of Public Enemy and Nirvana by night, Curtis’s influences are as diverse as they are deep.
After moving to Rotterdam in 2021 to pursue his musical dreams, Curtis found his groove collaborating with local producer Niels Onstenk. Together, they’ve crafted a fresh set of original tracks that fuse the energy of Soul, Funk, and Blues, drawing inspiration from legends like Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and Prince. Now, Curtis is ready to bring his unique sound to the stage with his Works in Progress shows—an exciting lead-up to the release of his highly anticipated singles and EP.
Don’t miss your chance to experience Curtis Millen live! Expect an evening filled with soulful music, infectious energy, and good vibes that will keep you dancing all night long.
